Unbelievably once again as you know by now another brutal and ruthless terrorist attack occurred yesterday in Turkey. These viscous attacks continue without warning and things in the world lately appear to just be going from bad to worse. That's because of course as you know obviously they are! And although some today foolishly predict that things will somehow eventually get better here some day unfortunately those who do so are sadly mistaken. Unfortunately just as in Noah's day violence and corruption are everywhere today and mankind continues to just ignore God while drifting farther away. Today we're hearing lies similar to the false prophets in biblical times in the midst of sin and corruption who also predicted that better days lie ahead. But many true Old Testament Hebrew prophets predicted precisely the opposite and called for genuine repentance instead. Here in America we're dealing with increasing corruption for one and an ongoing economic crises as the dollar shrinks and our deficit rises. Terrorist attacks are increasing here and worldwide as well without any real place to truly safely run and hide. Our morals and values are fading fast as we push God away while insisting on having our own way. Around the world chaos and violence continue to increase without any apparent relief in sight. As terrible as all this is as believers we should not be surprised at all if we know true Bible prophecy well. Unfortunately what's unfolding today in our chaotic world is exactly what the holy apostles and prophets of old predicted would happen at the end of this age along with of course the Lord Jesus Christ himself!
As evil continues its steady rise in the world today rearing its ugly head with relative ease and regularity now sadly righteousness and godliness continue to decline. The truth is we all need to realize if we somehow don't by now that there's much more at work in the unseen spiritual realm behind the scenes where the real war is actually waged. Maybe you've come to that realization yourself as well lately watching the news unfold completely baffled and bewildered by the madness of it all. Surely we must know by now that God's word is more than just a mere history book. With all the chaos and corruption in the world today I believe it's high time again we truly give its prolific and prophetic pages a long and hard second look! Many I meet today sadly know little or nothing about God's love and plan for their lives personally let alone about what's actually unfolding prophetically according to the scriptures in our world today. It's time we awake before it's too late the night is far spent and the day is at hand.
Here's what the apostle Paul once had to say about the end of this age and what we clearly see unfolding today, "THIS KNOW ALSO THAT IN THE LAST DAYS PERILOUS TIMES SHALL COME. FOR MEN SHALL BE LOVERS OF THEMSELVES, COVETOUS, BOASTERS, BLASPHEMERS, DISOBEDIENT TO PARENTS, UNTHANKFUL, UNHOLY, WITHOUT NATURAL AFFECTION, TRUCEBREAKERS, FALSE ACCUSERS, INCONTINENT, FIERCE, DESPISERS OF THOSE THAT ARE GOOD. TRAITORS, HEADY, HIGHMINDED, LOVERS OF PLEASURES MORE THAN LOVERS OF GOD HAVING A FORM OF GODLINESS BUT DENYING THE POWER THEREOF FROM SUCH TURN AWAY (2Timothy 3:1-5)." Sound familiar? Often as humans we just don't want to face the facts but here they are. The attitudes Paul describes here are unfortunately prevailing precisely as predicted now all around the world. It's much easier of course to ignore the truth and just pretend that somehow someday things will get better and this will eventually all go away. But that's not according to what God has revealed to us in his word and not according to what he actually has to say.
And so now here we are facing one crises after another as we near the end of this age. And just like in Noah's day God's judgment is once again looming like it was then just before the flood came and swept them all away! That is of course except for Noah and his family who believed God and were delivered and saved. And if you're well read you know that God's judgment will not be by flood but this time by fire instead. Here's what the apostle Peter once had to say about what will eventually occur on earth inevitably here one day, "BUT THE DAY OF THE LORD WILL COME AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT IN WHICH THE HEAVENS SHALL PASS AWAY WITH A GREAT NOISE AND THE ELEMENTS SHALL MELT WITH FERVENT HEAT. THE EARTH ALSO AND THE WORKS THAT ARE THEREIN SHALL BE BURNED UP. SEEING THEN THAT ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE DISSOLVED, WHAT MANNER OF PERSONS OUGHT YE TO BE IN ALL HOLY CONVERSATION AND GODLINESS LOOKING FOR AND HASTING UNTO THE COMING OF THE DAY OF GOD WHEREIN THE HEAVENS BEING ON FIRE SHALL BE DISSOLVED AND THE ELEMENTS SHALL MELT WITH FERVENT HEAT?
